This Week on Thoughtfully Mindless - Mike Marro
Hi TM Community,
I hope you’re all having an amazing week! It’s been several weeks since I put out a newsletter, so I wanted to check in and share some of the recent episodes of Thoughtfully Mindless.
My time lately has been spent getting ready for the new year. I always get in introspective and planning moods as the end of the year approaches. It always feels like a good time to review what was learned and make sure the right systems are in place for continued growth. Right now, I’m setting up RSS feeds to streamline my information intake, plus I’m working on getting Obsidian organized, so I can use that as my launchpad for everything else.
I’d had some really enjoyable interviews lately. Most recently, I interviewed Mike Marro, co-host of Elevated Thoughts. I interviewed Cooper, the other co-host in November, and Mike represents the left, or Democrat, position in their podcast dynamic. We had a great conversation about algorithms, the future of the Democrat party, and much more. Check it out here:
The week before that, I had the chance to speak with Dr. Jill Stein. Dr. Stein is a three-time presidential candidate for the Green Party. We discussed the rigged political system, her activism, and the attacks she’s faced while being in politics. You can listen to that here:
A few years back, I read a captivating book titles Confessions of an Economic Hitman, by John Perkins. He tells the story about how he got groomed to be involved in the NSA, working as an economist, guiding nations to take on massive amounts of debt, knowing the nations couldn’t pay the debts. I had the privilege of interviewing John, and we discussed his previous work, how China has adopted the techniques he used, and his vision for a better world.
Just before the interview with John Perkins, I had the opportunity to be joined once again by Germinal G. Van. Germinal was a guest one year ago, and I had been wanting to have him back for a while. He’s an economist, scholar, author, and publisher, and I always enjoy talking with him:
Those are the episodes I’ve released since the last newsletter. I hope you enjoy them!
I also hope you enjoy the last days of 2024. I wish for prosperity, health, and happiness for you and your loved ones going into 2025.
Take care,
Artie
